2017, Term 4, Week 2 Cool Cultures

There's lots of cultural events and activities taking place  at the moment.

Many of our students have been celebrating Diwali over the last week,  and this week is an ancient pagan Celt festival which was merged into Christian culture as Halloween  and which has become increasingly popular in New Zealand over the past twenty or so years.  We are also preparing for our Cultures Day at School, incorporating  the  Maori,  and the two languages we learn at school (Chinese and Spanish). Also, we have  Sarah, a teacher from Denmark, visiting us for a month.  November the 5th is Guy Fawkes Night  and the anniversary of the invasion of Parihaka (maybe more on that later), and ... it's nearly Christmas!  (Scroll down to last week for more Halloween activities).

How many musical symbols can you recognise?

Add bar lines for 4/4 timing. Scroll down for completed version.
